UDHAMPUR, July 21: One person died and three others were critically injured in a collision of Tipper and tanker on Dhar road Jaganoo Morh, last night.
The deceased was identified as Ashok Kumar, son of Dev Raj of Chenani. The injured are under treatment at District Hospital Udhampur.
The Tipper, bearing registration number JK02AJ-2547, was on way from Udhampur to Manwal while the tanker JK14B-9578 was coming from the opposite direction. The victims were shifted to hospital where Ashok Kumar succumbed to his injuries.
The other injured were identified as Romesh Kumar, son of Munshi Ram of Billawar, Gopal Krishan, son of Sita Ram of Chenani and Ravinder, son of Baldev Singh of Tamatar Morh.
Meanwhile, in another collision between a civilian truck and Army vehicle on the National Highway near Kali Mata temple, two persons sustained injuries and were shifted to Military Hospital Udhampur. Driver of the truck fled from the scene immediately after the accident.
