JAMMU, July 21: A 15-year-old boy drowned in river Tawi while taking bath this morning in Kishanpur area, falling under the jurisdiction of Manwal police post.
As per police sources, Sahil Kumar (15), son of Shallo Ram of Panjana age was taking bath in river Tawi, when he drowned.
After getting information, police team led by SDPO Nagrota Bharat Bhushan Sharma accompanied by Incharge police post Manwal SI Tribhuwan Khajuria rushed to the spot and divers were pressed into service.
The body was fished out and later shifted to Dansal Hospital, where after conducting autopsy, it was handed over to legal heirs for last rites.
Manwal police has taken cognizance in this regard.
