1 killed, 5 injured in road mishaps

SRINAGAR, Jan 14: One person was killed and five others were injured in different road accidents across the Valley.
A police spokesman said two persons were injured when a Tipper, JK15-2447, hit a Maruti car, JK01T-3900, at Baroosa, Ganderbal.
Both the injured have been shifted to Sub District Hospital Ganderbal for treatment, but Ghulam Nabi Parray son of Ghulam Qadir succumbed to his injures and another injured was referred to SKIMS, Soura, Srinagar for further treatment.
A pedestrian, Majid Ahmed Ahanger son of Mohammad Ramzan of Falthru Changoo was injured when a Van, JK18-2548 hit him at Dooru in district Anantnag.
The injured has been shifted to District Hospital Anantnag for treatment, the spokesman said.
Two boys were injured when a Sumo, JK07/675, hit a cyclist at Margund, Ganderbal. The injured were shifted to SKIMS, Soura, and Bone and Joints Hospital Srinagar for treatment.
A van driver was injured when a Tata Sumo, JK02W-5832, collided with a Maruti Van, PBI0BW-5656, on National Highway near a petrol pump at Mirbazar in district Kulgam. The injured was shifted to District Hospital Anantnag for treatment.
The spokesman said cases have been registered in these accidents.
