REASI, July 22: A youth was buried alive while three others sustained injuries when roof of a Kutcha house collapsed during repair work in Sujandhar, tehsil Bhomag, here today.
The deceased has been identified as Narinder Singh (Kaka Ram), aged 24 years, son of late Hans Raj, resident of Sujandhar. The injured included Kuldeep Singh, aged 40 years, son of Hans Raj; Purab Singh (Purbu), aged 13 years, son of Shambu Ram; and Akram, aged 18 years, son of Yousaf, all residents of Sujandhar. Reports said that the mishap took place when the victims were engaged in repairing roof of the Kutcha house, which suddenly caved in and the workers got trapped under the debris.
Narinder Singh died on the spot while three others sustained serious injuries. Locals rushed to rescue the victims who were taken to District Hospital Reasi for treatment. Their condition was stated to be stable.
