RAJOURI, Feb 21: The driver was killed while another person injured after a Tata Magic vehicle rolled down into a gorge in Kandi-Budhal area of district Rajouri this evening.
A police spokesman said that the mishap took place at around 5.45 pm when the vehicle bearing registration No. JK-11/ 0204 was returning from Samot to Targain after dropping passengers. Near Targain, the driver lost control at a curve and the vehicle was landed into a gorge. The people of the area rushed to the spot after coming to know about the mishap and the police also reached there after some time.
While driver, Mukhtar Shah, son of Mattu Shah, resident of Targain was killed on the spot, one Zaman Shah, son of Mubarak Shah, resident of the same village was seriously injured and was removed to Kotranka hospital where doctors provided first aid and then referred him to District Hospital, Rajouri.
