Zulfkar reiterates demand of judicial probe into Sarore incident

Jammu, Feb 29: Smelling conspiracy in Sarore incident, former Minister and senior PDP leader Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali has said that there is no coincidence in HP Police raid and JDA’s eviction drive and some planned conspiracy was there to target Gujjars which needs to be exposed.
Accompanied by Gujjar leaders Haji Nizam ud Din Khatana, Former MLC, Haji Mohammad Yousaf, President  J&K Gujjar Bakerwal Conference, Chowhary Hussain Ali Wafa, Chowudhary Yaseen Poswal, Chowdhary Talib Hussain, Chowdhary Nazakat Khatana, Chowdhary Mohammad Shafi besides various others, former Minister Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali today visited Vijaypur to express sympathy and condolence with Chowdhary Rahmat Ali whose son was shot dead in Police firing at Sarore few days ago.
He offered fateh and expressed condolence on his and Party President’s behalf and assured them justice soon. He also visited incident site at Sarore and met affected nomadic people and also accessed the situation and loss suffered to the Gujjar community in the eviction drive.
Following his visit, Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali said that there is big game to target Gujjars and harass them on the name of this selective eviction drive. He said that this conspiracy needed to be exposed so that nomads should not face any threat in future.
He said that to expose real culprits, goons and police personnel involved in the attack, there is need of judicial inquiry and Governor Administration must go for it within days. He added that there is no reason to hide real culprits and Governor must order judicial probe of the incident in time bound manner. He said that they are watching the response of Government and if Governor Administration did not respond they will go for mass agitation.
Expressing surprise over response of nomad killings by the political elites of Jammu,  Zulfkar said that even though Gujjars have religious affiliation with people of Kashmir but they ever supported the cause of Jammu and always showed solidarity with the people of Jammu but this episode have hurt them.
Reiterating his party’s stand on eviction, Zulfkar said that his party do not support encroachments but they will never support selective eviction drive.
