JAMMU, May 15: Minister for CAPD and Tribal Affairs Ch Zulfkar Ali today suspended store keeper of CAPD Store Bishnah for not distributing ration quota available in sufficient quantity in the store and ordered an enquiry for irregularities in the ration supply in the outlet.
The Minister asked the Assistant Director CA&PD to submit a detailed enquiry report within 24 hours and seize the records and close the store till the enquiry gets completed.
The Minister issued these instructions during his surprise visit to several CAPD outlets of Jammu in order to check the stock position and quality of the food grains available.
The Minister, during his inspection of CAPD outlet Chatha took strong notice of inadequate availability of ration in the store which is quite mismatch to the quantity recorded in the stock registers and issued strict instructions to Deputy Director CA&PD to initiate enquiry in this regard and submit report at the earliest.
The Minister underscored the need for early dispatch of food grains to all sale outlets for onward distribution to the consumers well in time, adding that supply of food grains to the people without any hindrance is the prime responsibility of the department.
At Chatha Godown, the Minister instructed the authorities for early dispatch of the ration quota to Jammu and Reasi districts for the month of June.
Meanwhile, the Minister also visited office of Assistant Director Miran Sahib Rural circle 2 and directed the concerned to immediately shift the office from the building and equip the office with requisite infrastructure.
The Minister was accompanied by Director CAPD G. S. Chib and other senior officers of CAPD Department.
