Zulfkar inaugurates 22 residential schools, 20 e-classrooms for tribal students

SRINAGAR, May 30: Minister for School Education, Hajj and Auqaf and Tribal Affairs Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali today e-inaugurated 22 residential (in-house) schools and 20 e-classrooms for Gujjar and Bakerwal students across the State.
Minister of State for Education, Tourism, Tribal Affairs, R&B, Rural Develo-pment Information, YS&S, Revenue and Culture Shakti Raji Parihar, Vice-Chairman J&K State Advisory Board of Development of Gujjar and Bakerwals Gulzar Ahmed Khatana, MLA Farooq Andrabi, Secretary Tribal Affairs (TA) Salma Hamid, Special Secretary TA Muhammed Sharief, Director TA Muhammed Rafi, Secretary Advisory Board Mukhtar Ahmed and other concerned officers were present on the occasion.
The Minister was informed that e-classes were developed with an estimated cost of Rs 50 lakh, and the infrastructure and the staff for running these in-house schools and e-classes is provided by the School Education Department.
The Minister said the efforts should be made to make these institutions as schools of par-excellence.
He said it is only the education that can help in the development of the society by broadening its vision. He said the present dispensation is undertaking many steps to bring in quality and modernization in the education sector which helps in nation building.
Assuring all possible support to in-house schools, the Minister said whatever, material would be required, whether it is infrastructure or human resource, it will be provided to them duly. However, the concerned officers in the respective districts should ensure that there is no compromise on the quality of education provided in these schools, the Minister said.
