Yudhvir restores ancient temple

JAMMU, June 3: On the pressing demand of people of Pacci Dhakki locality of Old Jammu City with regard to encroachment in an ancient temple in the area, vice-president BJP Yudhvir Sethi today visited the Radha-Krishan temple and took the initiative of getting the unauthorized construction stopped.
The people of the area brought to the notice of Yudhvir Sethi that unauthorized construction is going in the temple complex by some unscrupulous elements which was managed by the Dharmarth Trust.
However with the timely intervention of the senior leader the situation was saved and hundreds of supporters and local people managed to demolish the lintel that had been laid over the rooms.
Yudhvir Sethi took serious note of the activities of the Trust and saying that it could not curtail unlawful activities in the complex and questioned the local administration for giving permission to such illegal activities. He not only demolished the lintel but also installed a new Murti of Mata Kali in the room and warned the Trust and authorities from allowing any misuse of the temple and its property in future.
He said that this was an ancient temple of Radha Krishna in the area and also a heritage temple which should have been preserved by the Trust.
