SRINAGAR, June 3: Govern-ment today said it is exploring the possibility for the establishment of cold stores in four satellite terminals and vegetable markets and 2 satellite markets in 1st phase.
In a written reply to a question of MLA Hakim Mohammad Yaseen in Lower House, Minister Incharge Horticulture said the Department is exploring the possibility for establishment of cold stores under PPP mode in 4 Terminal Fruit and Vegetable Markets and 02 Satellite Markets in 1st phase viz Parimpora (Srinagar), Sopore (Baramulla), Narwal (Jammu), Jablipora (Anantnag), Kulgam and Aglar (Shopian), “however these facilities are available in private sector at Lassipora (Pulwama) with a total Capacity 0.60 LMT against requirement of 3.00 LMTs.
