JAMMU, Aug 26: Vice president BJP J&K, Yudhvir Sethi today visited the Dewan Mandir at Kachi Chawni, Jammu whose one of the portion has been damaged by lightning in the early hours today.
Yudhvir Sethi along with number of local people and party activists immediately rushed towards the Dewan Mandir and to take the stock of the situation and damage caused by the lightning which has damaged the upper portion of heritage building. People have lot of faith in this ancient temple and it is the one of the known heritage complexes in Jammu region.
Yudhvir Sethi has appealed to the LG Manoj Sinha and the administration of Jammu that its renovation may immediately be taken on priority basis and directions be passed to the concerned departments for the early repair and renovation of the Mandir so that the damage control can be done.
Yudhvir added that this holy temple is not only temple of faith but a heritage complex where many pilgrims and tourists come to visit and its preservation as a heritage monument is also must for the posterity.
