He said after distributing over seven crore LPG connections under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) the Centre had achieved the target within 34 months of the scheme’s launch. “This could become possible because a complete transparent and effective Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi was functioning since past six years,” he added.
The BJP leader said nearly 69 000 connections were released per day. With this, he said there is a huge jump in the LPG coverage in the country, which have gone up from 55 per cent in 2014 to 93 per cent in 2019.
