JAMMU, Feb 9: Youth Talent Search (YTS), a forum of prestigious private schools of Jammu celebrated its 20th Annual Prize Distribution function with great gusto and vehemence at polytechnic college, Vikram Chowk, here today.
YTS, a pioneer organization is a platform where young minds are provided with a comprehensive support by a system of instructions that encourages the thought process and reasoning that gear children to be logical, analytical, critical, creative, innovative and communicative.
Dr Ravi Shankar, Additional Secretary Housing & Urban Development was the chief guest on the occasion, while ID Soni, Commissioner Bharat Scouts & Guides, Johny William, Formar IGP, Rameshwar Mengi, Principal Shiksha Niketan and Vice President of Private School Association, Sanjeev Gupta Chairman of JK Montessorie School and Ajay Gupta Principal & Secretary of Private School Association were the guests of honour on the occasion.
The program started with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by chief guest and other dignitaries present on the occasion.
Geeta Dixit, Principal JK Montessorie School welcomed the guests, which was followed by welcome song presented by the students of Alexander Memorial School.
A variety of cultural items, especially group dances were presented by the students of various schools.
The annual report was presented by Easter William, Principal Alexander Memorial School, while Prabha Jain, founder of YTS presented brief history of YTS.
Chief guest lauded the efforts of YTS Forum, with a visionary approach towards the all-round development of the students in a democratic manner. He highlighted the values of co- curricular activities for mental and Physical growth of every child. About 150 students were felicitated by the chief guest with shields and certificates.
For the successful achievement of 20 years of the YST Forum, Bharat Scouts & Guides honoured the Principals of this Forum namely Pabha Jain, Easter William, Shashi Sharma, Geeta Dixit, Rajni Gupta, Neeru Puri, Shivani, MK Joshi, Anku Charak and Usha Jamwal with shields.
The program was co-ordinated by Ranhu Sahni, Sangeeta Sharma and Poonam Slathia.
Vote of thanks was presented by Neeru Puri, Principal SD Tara Puri School.
The program concluded with National Anthem.
