While addressing a hurried called press conference, YRS President Vikram Singh Vicky said that the Sabha and entire Dogra community condemned the purported statement of Kavinder Gupta in a video viral on social media, in which the latter is heard accusing the Yuva Rajput Sabha of staging un-necessary drama on the issue of Sarore Toll Plaza for earning money from some sources.
“Kavinder’s purported statement amounts to playing with the sentiments of entire Dogra community,” he said and added that the controversial remark was also contradictory to opinion of other leaders of BJP, including MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, Vice-president Sham Lal Sharma, Chander Parkash Ganga and Surjit Singh Slathia, who had justified the action of YRS over Toll Plaza issue.
Announcing that he will resign from the post of Yuva Rajput Sabha president if allegation against him turns true, Vikram Singh also warned legal action against Kavinder Gupta if the latter doesn’t retract his purported statement and seeks apology. “Rajputs along with entire Dogra community will also gherao the residence of Kavinder Gupta and lodge a strong protest against him in the coming days,” he added.
