JAMMU, Sept 22: As per the tradition, the Yuva Rajput Sabha (YRS) will take out the mega rally this year on the occasion of 128 birth anniversary of last Dogra ruler of Jammu and Kashmir Maharaja Hari Singh.
This year holiday on Maharaja Hari Singh birth anniversary is a cherry on the cake as it got after long struggle.
It is pertinent to mention that YRS has been organising a rally for the last 10 years in the support and celebrations of Maharaja Hari Singh birth anniversary. Inhabitants of Jammu Kashmir have huge respect towards their last Dogra Maharaja ruler who is known for his visionary work and especially socio-economic uplifment of Jammu Kashmir residents.
Every year a grand celebration is held in Jammu at Maharaja Hari Singh’s statue near Tawi Bridge where Dogras across the Jammu Kashmir visit to pay tributes to Maharaja Hari Singh. Dogras Rajput community leaves no stone unturned to make this rally as well as celebration memorable and successful on 23rd September.
President YRS, Vikram Singh told media that a grand rally on 23rd September will start at 10 am from M D Resort Keran Bantalab and drive towards Chinore, Roopnagar, Paloura, Janipur, Tali Morh, Newplot, Ambphala, CPU Chowk Panjtirthi, Kachi Chowni, Parade, Shalamar, Indra Chowk, Gummat , Dogra Chowk and culminate near Maharaja Hari Singh’s statue site near Mandir Majid point Tawi Bridge followed by tribute to Maharaja Hari Singh there.
Vikram Singh appealed people of J&K to participate in this Maha rally and pay tribute to the Maharaja. Vikram also thanked the Central Govt for declaring public holiday on 23rd September and said that it is a true tribute to Maharaja Hari Singh for his contributions to the Nation. Holiday on Maharaja Hari Singh birth anniversary reflects the revival of patriotic forces in Jammu Kashmir and respecting of Dogras identity, he added.
Vikram also requested to Dogra fellows, other civil organisations and various Sabhas of Jammu to join YRS in this rally of grand celebration. He asked youth to not carry any type of weapon in this rally and ensure that the swords are kept in the cover.
