YRS celebrates Birth Anniversary of Maharaja Gulab Singh

JAMMU, Oct 17: Yuva Rajput Sabha (YRS) here today celebrated the birth anniversary of Maharaja Gulab Singh, founder of the erstwhile J&K State, with enthusiasm.
A function in this regard was organized at SMGS
Hospital where YRS members paid rich tribute to Maharaja Gulab Singh and garlanded his statue.
Led by Rajveer Singh, former YRS president, Sabha members vowed to guard J&K from the evil forces hell bent to disrupt peace in J&K by playing with the sentiment of Dogras.
Speaking on the occasion, Rajveer Singh threw light on the life and achievements of Maharaja Gulab Singh, his courage, bravery and visionary approach.
Lashing out at Kashmir centric approach of the successive Governments, he stressed that Jammu is not part of Kashmir but the vice-versa.
“Maharaja Gulab Singh was the King of Jammu, who purchased Kashmir and also annexed Ladakh to form the State of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh,” he maintained.
Mukesh Singh, Rajeev Singh, Raghubir Singh, Bhanu Partap Singh, Sanjay Singh, Vasudev Singh, Rakesh Singh, Barinder Singh, Rohit Singh, Davinder Singh, Sanjeev Singh, Sandeep Singh and others were also present on the occasion.
