Youth puts kidney on sale to repay debt

Srinagar, Dec 14 : A 28-year-old youth from Qazigund area of South Kashmir in order to repay his debt of around Rs 1 crore has put his kidney on sale.
Subzar Ahmad Khan, a resident of Nussu village in Qazigund published an advertisement in newspapers today in which he mentioned that after incurring heavy losses in business, he owes people over Rs 90 lakh.
“I request everyone if anyone is in need of a kidney, he can contact me so that I can repay my debt as I am in a very distressed condition,” the advertisement reads.
Subzar said he still owes around Rs 61 lakh to J&K Bank and Rs 30 lakh to his borrowers. He got married last year and her wife is also ready to sell her kidney to repay the debt of her husband.
Subzar was a contractor besides dealing with shattering work. However, after the abrogation of Article 370 followed by COVID lockdown he incurred heavy losses.
