SAMBA, Jan 15: The youth of Samba district held a protest demonstration at Jatwal today against being cheated and deceived on the name of recruitment in Border Battalion of J&K by the Government.
The protestors alleged that Government made an announcement of raising Border Battalion in 2019 in J&K.
The protestors alleged that they had passed the physical test and were preparing for the written examination which follows the same but the advertisement for recruitment rally was removed and fresh applications for recruitment were sought. But the youth who had already submitted the applications were made ineligible for filling up new applications. The protesting youth said that they were waiting for the examination and were preparing for the written examination for the last two years but the Government has asked for applications for re-recruitment which is completely unfair to them.
They said the written test of the candidates will be held together. One protestor said “We will all oppose it at every level.” The other protestors said that the Government is cheating them. This time the applications have been sought from every category in which posts have been kept for EWS, OBC and other categories. The youth said that is absolutely unfair to them because earlier 500 youths had applied, whereas this time they will have to compete with 5000 youths.
Sourav Sharma, Gopal Sharma, Rajesh Sharma, Ajay Sharma, Sanjeev Sharma, Ankit Singh, Bunty Verma, Shubham Sharma, Lucky and others also participated.
