KATHUA, Jan 15: After being exploited by regional parties like NC and PDP, the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and minorities are finally finding solace under the realms of BJP because the Saffron party never discriminated with people on the basis of caste, creed or colour.
This was stated by Yudhvir Sethi, vice president J&K BJP and incharge Kathua after scores of people belonging to SC Community joined the party fold under the leadership of O.D Attri (retd BDO).
Welcoming the former BDO and his supporters to BJP, Yudhvir Sethi said that BJP being a nationalist party cannot afford to discriminate people on the basis of caste, region, religion or language. He said that it is only the BJP which has considerable support of people of all shades of life and those belonging to every nook and corner of the country.
He said that BJP has become the face of SCs, STs, and minority communities because no other party in the country is ready to accept them as they are afraid of losing the mandate of the majority community.
Meanwhile, Sethi also held a separate meeting with Mandal presidents, DDC, BDC, chairmen of Municipal Committees and Morcha presidents of the district to strengthen the organizational set-up across the Kathua district.
Among those who were present include Gopal Mahajan, district president; Vishal Parihar, Sanghatan Mantri; Raghunandan Singh, DDC vice chairman; Prem Nath Dogra, State Executive Member; Nariendar Jasrotia, Executive Member; Vijay Sharma, Chairman MC Hiranagar; Rajesh Mehta & Ashanand Khujuria, general secretaries; DDC Shweta, Sushma and many others.
