POONCH, June 23: A police party from Jammu nabbed a youth from Balakote area of Mendhar and recovered 12 packets of heroin like substance last night.
Police sources said that a police party from Bakshi Nagar in Jammu raided the house of one Mohd Altaf (25), son of Khadam Hussain at Kanga in Balakote area last night and recovered 12 packets of heroin like substance from his possession.
He was taken to Jammu. The lead about his involvement in drug peddling was established after the arrest of drug-peddler in Jammu two days ago. On the clue, the police raided last night at the village in Balakote and arrested Mohd Altaf.
