RAMBAN, Apr 4: A youth was killed, while another was injured, when their vehicle was hit by a shooting stone near Digdol area on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
As per police sources, late last night, a shooting stone hit a Scorpio car, which was on its way to Jammu from Srinagar, near Digdol area, resulting into on the spot death of one person and injuries to one another.
On getting information, police team rushed to the spot and shifted the injured person to District Hospital, where he was responding to the treatment, when last reports poured in.
After completing legal formalities, the body of the deceased identified as Barak Bilal (23), a resident of Sanant Nagar, Srinagar was handed over to legal heirs for last rites.
The injured has been identified as Dawood Rashid (22), a resident of Khanqah.
Ramban police has taken cognizance in this regard.
