Youth jumps from Tawi bridge, injured

JAMMU, May 15: A young man of age about 25 years allegedly jumped from main Tawi bridge in Jammu City to end his life but escaped with some injuries.
“Ankush son of Putu Ram, resident of Ramnagar (at present living in Rehari area of Jammu) sustained injuries in his legs and arms after he jumped off the Tawi River bridge,” police sources said.
They said that the inured youth was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for medical treatment while Nowabad police had taken cognizance of the matter. “The injured youth works as a mobile confectioner with his father,” sources added.
