JAMMU, June 26: A 22-year-old youth today allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence in Bathindi area of city outskirts.
According to police spokesperson, the youth identified as Shafeeq Ahmed son of Mohd Haneef a resident of Dunga (Bathindi), allegedly ended his life by hanging self with the hook of a ceiling fan at his residence.
On getting information from family members, police reached the spot and shifted the dead body to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, for post mortem.
Though no suicide note was recovered from the spot, the concerned police has registered a case and started investigations.
