KATHUA, Mar 12: An elder brother shot dead his younger brother in village Ballard, Chandwan falling under jurisdiction of Rajbagh Police Station in Hiranagar tehsil of Kathua district with his 12 bore licensed gun over a family dispute, this morning.
The accused has been identified Ishaq Bakarwal son of Ramim.
Reports said that an altercation took place between Ishaq and his younger brother Basharat Ali over a family dispute at their residence in the village this morning.
Losing his temper Ishaq took out his single barrel 12 bore licensed gun and fired upon his younger brother who fell in a pool of blood.
The reports said the Police Post Chadwal received the information about the incidents within couple of hours and police swung into action and arrested Ishaq from the village. The police also recovered the weapon of offence.
The Rajbagh Police has also registered a case under FIR No 55/2013 U/S 302 RPC, 3/25 A Act also.
