JAMMU, June 24: A youth was today found hanging in Janipur area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, a 27-year-old youth namely Salil Gupta son of Naresh Gupta, resident of Bhaderwah (at present Janipur), was found hanging with the hook of the ceiling fan at his residence in Janipur, today at about 1 AM.
The body of the deceased was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu and after conducting post mortem handed over to his legal heirs for last rites.
“No suicide note was recovered from the spot”, the spokesman said, adding Janipur police had registered a case in this connection and started investigations.
