JAMMU, Sept 12: A youth was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Bishnah area here, prompting police action and an investigation into the case.
Police sources said after spotting one Ishmeet Singh of Dablehar lying unconscious at Makhanpur area last night, locals informed police.
Acting swiftly, they said, a team reached the spot and shifted the youth to a hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
While the body of the deceased youth has been shifted to the mortuary of a local hospital for conducting the medico-legal formalities, police have initiated inquest proceedings to further probe into the matter.
