JAMMU, Jan 14: In mysterious condition, the dead body of a youth was found today from a nallah in Qasim Nagar area falling under the limits of police station Bagh-e-Bahu.
According to a police spokesperson, the deceased has been identified as Aman Hans, son of Muloku Hans, a resident of Teli Basti in Bari Brahmana. His dead body was found this morning in mysterious condition from a big nallah near Sulabh Shauchalaya in Qasim Nagar by some locals who informed the police.
On getting information, Bagh-e-Bahu police reached the spot, retrieved the body from the nallah and shifted it to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu. After conducting post mortem, the body was handed over to its legal heirs for last rites.
The police said as quoted by the father of the deceased he (Aman) was addicted to drugs and wine and used to stay away from home for days together.
However, the Bagh-e-Bahu police has registered a case under relevant Sections and inquest proceedings started under 174 CrPC.
