SRINAGAR, Mar 26: A youth was found dead in his car in mysterious circumstances, while a semi-decomposed body of a mentally challenged person was found in the forest area in Kupwara district.
A police spokesman said the body of 23-year-old Almas Ahmad Bhat son of Ghulam Hassan Bhat resident of Bomihama, Kupwara, was found from an Alto car, JK09-1139, near forest hut Wayan in suspicious circumstances.
“Police has started inquest proceedings under Section 174 CrPC to ascertain the cause of his death.
Meanwhile, a semi-decomposed body of Iqbal Ahmad Mir son of Mohammad Jabbar Mir of Tikker was recovered from Jugtiyal forests in Kupwara.
“The deceased was reportedly mentally challenged. He was reported to be missing since February 11, 2014,” the spokesman said.
