JAMMU, Apr 19: A 24-year-old youth was found dead under mysterious circumstances at Jewel Chowk area here, officials said today.
Pawan Kumar son of Loku Ram of Dhan Panchayat in Nagrota area was spotted in an unconscious state by some passerby along the side of the road at Jewel Chowk area on Saturday evening, they said, adding that accordingly police was informed.
He was taken to Government Medical College Jammu, where doctors declared him dead on arrival, officials said.
They said the body of the deceased individual has been shifted to the mortuary of the hospital for conducting post-mortem examination, while inquest proceedings have been initiated to ascertain the exact cause of his death.
