UDHAMPUR, Mar 29: A youth committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree near his house at Basantgarh in District Udhampur.
The deceased, identified as Ravi Kumar (30), son of Devi Charan of Shivgali, Basantgarh, was found hanging from a tree near his house, under mysterious circumstances.
Some locals saw the deceased hanging and immediately called the Police at Basantgarh, A Police party shifted the dead body to nearest PHC for postmortem and other legal formalities. Cause of provocation behind the extreme step could not be ascertained while Police has registered a case in this connection for further investigation.
