SAMBA, Jan 1: A 32-year-old youth ended his life by hanging himself from a tree in the fields near his house in Karandi village of Samba district late last night.
According to the information received, the youth hanged himself late last night. On Sunday morning, when the family members saw him hanging with a tree, they informed Samba Police about it. He was rushed to the district hospital, Samba, where the doctor declared him as brought dead.
The doctor conducted the post-mortem and handed over the dead body to his family members for the last rites. The deceased has been identified as Balbir Singh, son of Inder Singh, resident of Karandi Samba. In this context, the police has registered a case and started investigation.
The cause of the extreme step taken by the youth is not known.
