UDHAMPUR, Feb 22: In a tragic incident, a youth drowned while taking bath in a Nallah at village Ancha in Ramnagar, here today.
The deceased was identified as Sohan Singh (21), son of Haqiqat Singh, resident of Ancha in Ramnagar, who was taking bath in the Nallah after attending a cremation near old Gurlang Pul cremation ground along with other locals and relatives.
While taking bath, he suddenly slipped into deep water and body of the deceased was fished out after about two hours searches by Ramnagar Police and locals. Later, the body was shifted to Sub District Hospital Ramnagar for the postmortem.
After completion of all the legal formalities and postmortem, the body was handed over to the family members.
