RAJOURI, Jan 23: A youth was killed after he was hit by a tipper in Nagrota area of Rajouri late this evening.
A police spokesman said that mishap took place at around 9 pm when 21-year-old Mohd Sultan, son of Mohd Yousuf, resident of Nagrota village was moving along the road side and going to his home in the nearby area. Suddenly, an over speeding Tipper, bearing registration No. JK11C/8932 hit the boy from the backside and sped away from the spot.
The family members and locals of the area rushed seriously injured Sultan to GMC Hospital Rajouri where doctors declared him as brought dead. SHO Rajouri, Aejaz Wani said that a case has been registered in this connection and manhunt launched for the vehicle and its driver.
