JAMMU, Apr 30: A 25-year-old youth died today due to fall from some height in Chinore area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, a youth identified as Sonu (25) son of Mehar Chand, resident of Rajpura (Jammu), sustained serious injuries late this evening after he fell from some height in Durga Nagar area falling within the jurisdiction of police post Chinore.
“The injured youth was immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where he was declared as brought dead by the doctors”, the spokesman said, adding, the body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary room of the hospital for post mortem while Chinore police had taken cognizance of the matter.
The spokesman said that it was not clear immediately whether the deceased fall from a building, tree or some pole. The cause of the fall was also not known, he added.
