UDHAMPUR, Jan 15: A youth was knocked to death when a train engine hit him on Jammu-Udhampur Railway track at Satyani near Round Mail, this afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Sohan Lal (18), son of Mani Ram of Sontha Satyani. He was crossing the track when a railway lone engine hit him resulting into his on the spot death.
Later, the body was shifted to hospital for the postmortem and other legal formalities.
Police has registered a case in this connection.
