JAMMU, May 14: A young man, who had allegedly consumed some poisonous substance yesterday at his residence in Akhnoor area, died today at Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu.
The deceased has been identified as Rajat Sharma (22) son of Ram Lal of Lehar (Akhnoor), a police official said. He said that the youth was admitted in GMC yesterday and today at about 6:35 AM he passed away.
“After postmortem, the dead body has been handed over to his legal heirs for last rites,” the official said and added that Akhnoor police had taken cognizance of the matter.
