JAMMU, Jan 15: J&K Youth Congress (JKYC) today staged protest against anti-J&K policies of BJP, seeking immediate restoration of statehood and domicile law in J&K.
Led by Uday Chib, president J&K PYC, the activists assembled near Exhibition Ground Jammu and raised slogans against the BJP for befooling the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Talking to reporters on the occasion, Chib said that the BJP led Government at the Centre had caused the greatest embitterment in the hearts and minds of the people of J&K by downgrading their status of statehood to a Union Territory.
He said that the demotion of the State to the level of UT was not only unprecedented but amounted to a great insult hurled upon the patriotic people of Jammu region. He said that the people feel humiliated, disparaged and offended.
