JAMMU, Mar 2: J&K Pradesh Youth Congress lambasted BJP Government for depriving youth of J&K of employment, internet and false assurance of foreign investment post abrogation of Article 370 by holding a protest at Purana Pind Chowk, RSPura today.
On the directions of PYC president, Udhay Bhanu Chib, the Youth Congress activists assembled at border town of RS Pura today and raised slogans against the anti-youth policies of BJP led Central Government. The protest was organised by Neeraj Choudhary, District president, JKPYC Jammu (Rural).
The protest was also joined by State office bearers including Avijyot Singh, general secretary, Ankush Raina and Nakul Sharma, State secretaries, Sanjay Sandhu, senior Youth Congress leader.
The leaders criticised the policies of BJP led Central Government who have been failed to fulfill the cardinal demands of J&K youth including providing 2 crores jobs per year which was promised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself with unemployed educated youth during post election campaign. The youth leaders regretted that not a single post has been advertised from August 5, till date for filling up in the downgraded state of J&K after abrogation of Article 370. They also added that the maximum area in J&K belongs to small towns, villages, border and remote areas and it is difficult for youth to compete with the students who are appearing in the UPSC examination from all the regions of the country without basic essentials including internet and proper library facilities even in the last KAS/KPS examination 45,000 unemployed educated youth filled application forms who were preparing from last 4-5 years for the exams but after the abrogation of the Article 370, the existing vacancies remained unfilled which is one of the big failure of the Central Government.
Youth Congress demanded immediate restoration of statehood status to the J&K UT and restoration of all the benefits given to special status of J&K including State Service cadre, 5 years relaxation in UPSC, mobile internet facilities and other advantages.
