JAMMU, Mar 2: Shri Kailakh Jyotish Avim Vedic Sansthan Trust organized a program in Raipur- Domana constituency at Purkhoo to released the 2nd edition of ‘ Kailakh Sandesh Panchang’/ calendar brought out by Mahant Rohit Shastri president of the Trust at Raipur -Thather.
The function commenced with the chanting of the Vedic Mantras and after that it was presided over by RSS Jammu Kashmir Prant, Karyavah Parshotam Dadhichi, while former minister and senior BJP leader Sham Lal Sharma chief guest, former MLC Vibodh Gupta was the guest of honour, whereas, J&K High Court Bar president Abhinav Sharma was special guest.
The main speakers on the occasion included President awardee & Director of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Gurukul Katra, Prof Vishwa Murti Shastri & Swami Sunish Chalananda, Addl Secretary Ramakrishna Mission Jammu, Sarswat Athithi Shiv Datt Nirmohi (Padma Shri Awardee).
Parshotam Dadhichi said Panchang is a source of information about all local fairs, festivals and auspicious occasions, accurate dates and timing about the festivals and events like eclipses etc given in this calendar.
Sham Lal Sharma said that Panchang is an astrological diary which gives useful astrological information required by an astrologer. It is consulted for finding and selecting an appropriate and auspicious time for important occasions, ceremonies or actions like marriage, education, travel, starting new business or project, examination, interviews etc. He said Mahant Rohit Shastri is an icon for the youth and through his works he is uniting the society and promoting own culture.
Vibodh Gupta said Panchang is used to match the current position of planets with the position of planets in a person’s astrological chart so as to find and if required, to look ahead to find astrologically good days and times for that person.
Prof Vishwa Murti said Panchang is the Hindu Calendar and it is a Sanskrit word which is comprises of two words i.e.’Panch’ meaning 5 and ‘Ang’ meaning part. These 5 parts are Nakshatra, Tithi,Vaar,Yoga and Karan. Swami Sunishchala nanda said Panchang is a helpful and having practical use of Indian Vedic astrology and with its help, we can know the nature and quality of any day in advance.
Mahant Rohit Shastri said that he will distribute Panchang free of cost to the people.
