SRINAGAR, Oct 4: Police today said a youth committed suicide here in city while a lady in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district set herself ablaze.
A police spokesman said here that a 23 year-old Jabreel Jameel was found hanging in his room at Barzulla area. “He was shifted to hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. Police have initiated inquest proceedings under Section 174 CrPC in this regard,” the spokesman said.
The spokesman said a 30 year-old lady (name withheld) of Chinigund in Dooru area of Anantnag district sprinkled kerosene oil on her body and set herself ablaze. “The lady was immediately shifted to the SMHS Hospital for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” the spokesman added.
