JAMMU, Oct 4: The Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) meeting of the Non-Gazetted cadre employees of the Agriculture Department for Jammu division is being held on October 19.
All J&K Agriculture Employees Association Jammu province president, Uttam Chand Sharma, in a press statement here said that Departmental Promotion Committee meeting of Non-Gazetted staff (all cadre) has not been conducted for the last three years. The Association has submitted several representations to the present Director Agriculture, Dr S S Jamwal and also his predecessor but nothing has been done in this regard. A few days also, a delegation of the Association met the Dr Jamwal who assured that their issue would be resolved.
Meanwhile, the Director Agriculture when contacted said that the process of fixing seniority of the employees of all cadre was going on and objections were also sought from the stake holders. This process has also been almost completed and the DPC of the Non-Gazetted cadre employees has been fixed for October 19, 2015. He admitted that DPC should be held twice a year but due to `some reasons’ it could not be held in time.
