JAMMU, Nov 28: A 24-year-old youth allegedly hanged himself to death at his temporary residence in Nanak Nagar area of city outskirts.
“Manjit Kumar son of Mohinder Kumar, a resident of R S Pura, presently living in H No 202, Sector No 11, Nanak Nagar, was found hanging this morning with the hook of a ceiling fan at his temporary residence,” a police spokesperson said.
He said in unconscious condition the youth was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, but was declared as brought dead by the doctors. After completing all medico-legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites.
A case in this connection was registered at police station Gandhi Nagar and investigations started.
