KATHUA, Nov 17: A youth committed suicide in border village Salalpur in Kathua district late last night under mysterious circumstances . He has been identified as Rajesh Kumar, son of Krishan Chand of Salalpur falling under the jurisdiction of Rajbagh Police Station.
As per reports Rajesh had left his house for watch and ward of the paddy crop in his fields during the night as usual last night and when he did not turn up in the morning his father Krishan Chand left the home to search him. He after reaching near his paddy fields was shocked to see the dead body of his son hanging with a tree adjoining the paddy fields. He immediately informed the police which took the body into its custody. Later the police got its autopsy conducted at Sub District Hospital, Hiranagar. The body was handed over to family for last rites after completion of all formalities.
The Rajbagh Police has registered a case under Section 174 and started investigation. The family frustration is stated to be the cause of extreme step taken by the youth.
