UDHAMPUR, July 18: A youth attempted suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at his residence in village Mir Panchari, here today.
According to the police report, Jiya Lal (26), son of Shiv Dass of village Mir Panchari, consume some poisonous substance under mysterious circumstances. Family members shifted him to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors referred him to GMC Hospital Jammu in view of his serious condition.
Cause of provocation was not yet ascertained while Police has registered the case for investigation.
Meanwhile, a pillion riding middle aged woman fell from motorcycle and sustained injuries. She was taken to District Hospital Udhampur and her condition was stated to be stable. The injured was identified as Thakri Devi (50) of Flata.
