JAMMU, May 2: A youth allegedly tried to end his life by consuming some poisonous substance in Akhnoor.
As per police sources, a 28-year-old youth identified as Deepak Kumar alias Deepu, son of Madan Lal of Mallah Dhok Khalsa allegedly tried to end his life by consuming some poisonous substance near TRC Akhnoor pathway on the bank of river Chenab.
Finding him unconscious, police shifted hims to SDH Akhnoor from where he has later referred to GMC Jammu for advanced treatment.
A notebook was found from the possession and on perusal, it was found that the youth was in love affair and had consumed some poisonous substance to commit suicide.
A case in this regard has been registered at Akhnoor police station and investigation started.
