KATHUA, Mar 1: A youth attempted self immolation by setting himself ablaze in Ward Number 16 here today.
He has been identified as Ramesh Chander 30, S/o Nagar. He was immediately rushed to DH Kathua by his family members where from doctors referred him to Burn Ward of GMC Jammu. The youth has received 70 percent burn injuries and he was undergoing treatment in GMC where his condition is stated to be critical. The youth was married some time back but the cause of his extreme step is not known. Kathua Police has registered a case under relevant Sections of the law and started investigation.
