JAMMU, Feb 13: A young housewife allegedly committed suicide, while two others including a minor girl made abortive attempts by consuming some poisonous substance at their respective residences.
As per reports, 20-year-old Neetu Devi, wife of Bharat Bhushan of Bari Brahmana allegedly consumed some poisonous substance at her residence yesterday.
Finding her unconscious, family members shifted her to nearby hospital and later referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where she failed to respond to the treatment and died.
After completing legal formalities, the body was handed over to family members for last rites.
Meanwhile, 14-year-old Pana, daughter of Din Dayal of Preet Nagar made an abortive attempt to end her life by consuming some poisonous substance at her residence.
Family members rushed her to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where she was responding to the treatment, when last reports came in.
In another same incident, 27-year-old Chanchala Devi, wife of Ravi of Maalpur, Kanachack allegedly consumed some poisonous substance at her residence.
Finding her unconscious, family members shifted her to nearby hospital and later referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where she was undergoing treatment, when last reports came in.
Cases under relevant Sections stands registered at concerned police stations and investigation started to ascertain the reason behind such extreme step.
