Young housewife among two found hanging

UDHAMPUR, May 16: In separate cases, a young housewife and a youth were found hanging under mysterious circumstances, here today.
The housewife, identified as Pushpa Devi (30), wife of Bansi Lal of Majalta in Udhampur, was found hanging from the ceiling fan hook at the house of her in-laws. She was rushed to hospital where doctors declared her as brought dead.
Police have registered the case and started investigations.
In another case, one Ramesh Singh (28) son of Lajpat Raj of village Bikhengla in Tikri block, was found hanging from a tree in forest area. On getting information, police shifted the body to hospital and after conducting postmortem, it was handed over to family of the deceased.
Meanwhile, a PDD lineman sustained an electric shock while repairing some fault on an electric pole. Identified as Ramesh Kumar son of Basant Ram of Ladden Power House area, the lineman, was rushed to District Hospital where doctors referred him to GMC Hospital Jammu in view of his serious condition.
A pedestrian, identified as Fassel, son of Farooq Ahmed of Tral and presently putting up at Samroli Udhampur, was hit by a vehicle resulting into his fall in a deep nullah adjoining National Highway near Samroli. He has been admitted in the District Hospital Udhampur.
