RAJOURI, Nov 18: A tragic road accident claimed the life of an 18-year-old girl and left another person injured in Darshan Nagar area of Nowshera in Rajouri district today.
A police spokesman said that the incident occurred when a motorcycle collided with a dumper, bearing registration number JK11D-8195. The collision resulted in the on-spot death of Shilpa Sharma (18), daughter of Ram Krishan, a resident of Kalakote.

The injured individual, identified as Aatish Sharma, son of Sadhu Ram, a resident of Nonial village, was rushed to the local hospital for treatment.
The police registered a case and launched an investigation to determine the cause of accident. BMO Nowshera, Dr Iqbal Malik said that the deceased’s body was handed over to her family after the completion of post-mortem and other legal formalities.
