JAMMU/SRINAGAR/ LEH, Mar 4: A young girl died of COVID-19 while 15 persons tested positive in Jammu division today and 18 fresh cases were reported in Kashmir. The UT of Ladakh recorded 23 positives.
A 22-year-old girl hailing from Kishtwar, who was fully vaccinated but co-morbid, died of COVID-19 in the Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu taking Corona toll in the region to 2326 and Kishtwar district to 46.
Out of 15 cases in Jammu, 12 were registered in Jammu district, two in Doda and one in Kishtwar while rest seven districts in the region didn’t report any positives.
Daily recoveries stood at 60 bringing down number of active positive cases to 218.
The UT of Ladakh reported 23 COVID positive cases including 22 in Leh district and one in Kargil.
Ladakh now has 137 active positive cases—135 in Leh and two in Kargil district.
Meanwhile, Kashmir today reported 18 fresh cases of COVID-19.
Those who tested positive include 9 from Srinagar, 4 from Baramulla, 2 from Pulwama, 2 from Kupwara and 1 from Bandipora,
With fresh cases, the number of positive cases in Kashmir division has reached 287,130 including 284,513 recoveries and 2,423 deaths.
The number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 412 including 194 from Kashmir division.
With 83 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 448,006 which is 98.86 percent of the total cases.
